Valentina's Milaknis

Valentinas Milaknis (born October 4, 1947 in Obeliai , Rokiškis district ) is a Lithuanian businessman and politician.

Life

Milaknis studied at the Vaižgantas Middle School Rokiškis from 1954 to 1965 . In 1970 he completed his degree in radio technology at the Technical University in Kaunas . In 1989 he founded the Lithuanian IT group AB "Alna" and was director of the company until 1999. From 1999 to 2000, Milaknis worked as the Minister of Economy of Lithuania. He then became CEO of Alna again until 2001. Valentinas Milaknis then moved to the LRT broadcasting company as managing director , where he stayed until 2003. Since 2003 he has been chairman of the board of "Alna" again.

Milaknis is married to Zofija Milaknienė and has a son Tomas Milaknis (* 1970) and a daughter Justina Gumbienė (* 1975).
