Valerio Evangelisti

Valerio Evangelisti (born June 20, 1952 in Bologna ) is an Italian writer .

His main works are science fiction and fantasy novels. His most famous work, the Nostradamus Trilogy , became a bestseller and has been translated into many languages. Some of his works have been filmed. Before starting his writing career, Evangelisti studied history. He wrote numerous essays on historical events and worked at times for the Italian Ministry of Finance . After one of his first novels, Nicolas Eymerich , won the Urania Award in 1993 (presented by Urania , Italy's largest science fiction magazine), he then devoted himself exclusively to writing.
