Valium Era (abbreviation VE ) is a rhythm-'n'-noise music project founded by phiL in 2006.

history

Valium Era was founded in 2006 by phiL in Lower Saxony . The first results were burned on 20 CDs at the end of 2006 as a brain mud demo and distributed during the Schattentanz event in Mark4 in Zetel . Individual pieces were also published online on Myspace . The response was consistently positive, and virtual buttons were still turned. After a short creative break, phiL released three EPs in 2008, which were devoted to different genres, from a very technoid sound to rhythm 'n' noise. The demand for new material became so great that in the same year the first album entitled Valium Era was released under their own direction.

In 2009 the single Tanz im Kopf was released . While two other EPs were being released, a new album was being worked on, which made its way onto fans' CD shelves at the end of 2009 under the name Mutation . The songs Cyber Gossip and Tanz im Kopf v2 also found their way onto the well-known samplers Extreme Sündenfall 8 and onto the CD for the 50th issue of Orkus magazine .

In September 2009, Valium Era performed live for the first time as part of the Eat My Noisy Beats event . Further remixes followed by 2013 (including for Weena Morloch and Vault-113 ), as well as further contributions to the sampler (including Extreme Störfrequenz 5 and 7 , and Aderlass Vol. 7 ).

At the beginning of 2013 Valium Era signed a contract with the independent label Future Fame and released Mutation Reloaded , a re-release of the sold out album Mutation with reworked songs, as well as some remixes by z. B. Vault-113, Incubite and Sleetgrout .

Reviews

Orkus magazine, issue 50 (June 2009):

“The full roar of electronic frequencies is provided by Valium Era . The industrial electro solo project in Lower Saxony does not take prisoners and offers a club inferno of the pithy kind: crushing beats as a basic structure, plus whipping sequences and original samples - yes, there is still that even in 2009! Since the end of 2006 in the expanses of pounding rhythms, Tanz im Kopf v2 clearly shows that Valium Era can be expected in the future! "

Grave Concerns E-Zine (excerpt from the review of the album Mutation Reloaded ):

"The album is seriously greedy producing some of the most powerful sounds to embellish the aural with unrelenting beats and rabid apocalyptic rhythms soaked in caustic flavors that simply engages with adrenalin infused bite from its very core. All in all this is a fiery colossal array of tech noise and electro power infused with hearty samples and well worth getting your ears around. It shows no mercy and will incite the senses just as easily as the sounds manipulating them with irresistible hooks, groove, melodies and rhythms that when mixed together in this way, gives the listener something good to get their teeth into and the cyber freaks something to move to. It is short of absolutely nothing what so ever and you can't go wrong when you listen to its rampaging vibrancy - now all you have to do is press play - Enjoy! "
