Incubite was a German techno and aggrotech formation from Essen .

history

Incubite was founded in 2009 by the music producer Neill Freiwald in Düsseldorf. After first devoting oneself to rhythm 'n' noise sounds, the song Muschitanz was released for the first time on the specially distributed demo Aphasia . This was followed by a record deal with the German label Dark Dimensions / ProNoize. The band then played their first live appearances, including in Switzerland and at the 35th Dark Dance meeting in the Black Forest. At the same time, Neill Oblivion separated from his previous live keyboardist Jasmin and called Miss Meow into the band. In early 2011, the long-playing debut Toxicum was released on ProNoize Records. Shortly afterwards the band played several appearances in the opening act for Combichrist and Agonoize . In June 2011 Miss Meow left the band, after which Jonaez Ignite joined. At the end of 2011 the band announced their second long player Riot Trigger for 2012 . A little later, Alex LaCroix joined as guitarist. Their announced album reduced the band to the length of an EP and released it on November 23, 2012. As a result, Pharmaboy was brought into the band as a drummer to complete the line-up. At the end of 2013, the band announced their breakup due to lack of time.

Origin of name

In an interview, Neill Oblivion reports that the band name Incubite is a fusion of the words "Incus" (English for "anvil (ear)") and "Bite" (English for "bite").
