Power noise , even Harsh or Power Noise (named after the title "United - Power Noise Movement" of the project Noisex ), a music genre that combines elements from is techno , electro , noise , drum and bass and post-industrial mixed together . There are parallels to breakcore and industrial hardcore in particular . The style is characterized by catchy, danceable track structures using effects such as distortion and delay as well as voice samples from films, radio and television news. Projects such as Esplendor Geométrico played a certain pioneering role in the 1980s .
