The comarca of Valle del Guadiato is one of the 8 comarcas in the province of Cordoba . Like all comarcas in the autonomous community of Andalusia , it was established with effect from March 28, 2003.
The comarca, which stretches from the provincial capital northwest to the border with Extremadura, comprises 11 municipalities with an area of 2493 km².
