The Comarca Subbética is one of the 8 comarcas in the province of Cordoba . Like all comarcas in the autonomous community of Andalusia , it was established with effect from March 28, 2003.
The comarca in the south of the province comprises 14 municipalities with an area of 1597 km². It is the only comarca in the province that borders four other Andalusian provinces.
