Volmari "Valmari" Toikka (born December 27, 1902 in Hamina , † December 21, 1990 in Vehkalahti ) was a Finnish cross-country skier .

Career

Toikka, who started for the Vehkalahden Veikot and the Kotkan Into, won the 10 km run at the Lahti Ski Games in 1931. The following year he finished seventh over 18 km at the Winter Olympics in Lake Placid . In March 1933 he took third place over 50 km at the Lahti Ski Games and first place over this distance the following year. In 1936 he became Finnish champion over 50 km.
