Valmont Industries is an American manufacturer of masts made of steel , aluminum and GRP (power and lighting masts , wind power towers, pivot irrigation systems ).

history

In 1946, Robert B. Daugherty invested $ 5,000 in Valley Manufacturing , which would later be renamed Valmont Industries. In 1954 he licensed a pivot irrigation system from Frank Zybach. In the 1960s, the company developed a fast resistance welding process and began manufacturing tubular poles for street lighting and traffic lights.
