Valvassor

Valvassor (also: vavassor ), lower French and Italian nobility title of the feudal nobility in the Middle Ages .

It is a matter of dispute whether the Valvassor can even be called a knight . The French Valvassor, like the Norman Tankred von Hauteville , was at least not yet armed and hardly had a horse either. Instead, several Valvassors made a mounted man available to their liege lord ( horse service ).
