Van Heemskerck
Van Heemskerck is a nobility and patrician Dutch family .
history
The origins of the knight family go back to the Middle Ages. At the beginning of the 15th century a branch of the family (they operated under the name Van Beest until the beginning of the 17th century and ancestry from the noble family is not proven) in the government of the city of Delft . In 1687 the sex was raised to the rank of imperial count . In the 17th century, the family also came into the Amsterdam city government . In 1815 a branch of the family with the rating Jonkheer was introduced into the new Dutch nobility. In 1896 the family was also introduced into the Prussian nobility.
