Vanda Vanda was a Belgian pop band . It was formed as part of the talent show Popstars .

history

The Flemish TV station VT4 broadcast an adaptation of the internationally successful casting show Popstars in 2000/2001 . As part of this, five participants emerged victorious and formed the group Vanda Vanda . This received a record deal with Warner Music . Her first single, Sunshine After The Rain , jumped straight to the top of the Flemish single charts. More singles and an album followed.

In 2002 the group took part with the title All My Love in the Belgian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest , but was eliminated in the preliminary round.

Iris Van Hoof later left the group, the remaining four members continued as Quatro . In 2004 Quatro again took part in the preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest, but The Sweetest Thing did not reach the final either. A little later the group broke up.

Of the former members, Iris Van Hoof made a name for herself. The singer, who was born in Cologne , has presented a number of television and radio shows.
