Junior Eurosong

For the Junior Eurovision Song Contest it was initially planned that VRT and RTBF would alternate. This was initially also retained. In 2005, when Belgium was the host and both broadcasters were responsible, a joint preliminary decision took place. Thereafter, however, the RTBF withdrew due to a lack of interest in Wallonia , since then all contributions have been determined by the VRT. The preliminary decision was initially called Eurosong for Kids , now Junior Eurosong . The preliminary decision has been broadcast on Ketnet since 2010, before that (like the JESC) it was broadcast on één.

In 2009 a special mode was used: all contributions were presented in two versions. The winners of the semi-finals moved into the final with one of the two versions. For example, there was a Classico version and a Yodelo version of the winning song Zo Verliefd . Laura Omloop won with the yodel version.
