Loïc Nottet
Loïc Nottet (born April 10, 1996 in Courcelles ) is a Belgian singer , dancer and composer . At the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 he took 4th place for Belgium.
Life
Loïc Nottet took part in the third season of the talent show The Voice Belgique in 2014 and came in second there. At his blind audition, he convinced two of the jury members with a cover version of Diamond by Rihanna. He has been under contract with the Sony label since October 2014 .
On November 3, 2014, the Belgian television broadcaster RTBF announced at a press conference that the singer would represent his home country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna , Austria . The reason that he and not the first place winner should start for Belgium , the broadcaster said that he sings ballads, while Nottet also dances and thus recommends himself for faster songs. He was the third participant in the casting show The Voice , who represented Belgium at the ESC . With the pop song Rhythm Inside composed by him , he reached fourth place in the song contest.
With last season's winner, Denitsa Ikonomova, Loïc took first place in the French show Danse avec les stars in December 2015 .
On October 27, 2016, his first single Million Eyes was released , which reached the top of the Belgian iTunes charts within hours . His debut album Selfocracy was released on March 31, 2017. On April 22nd 2017 he had his concert premiere for the tour "Selfocracy" in the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels. On November 30th, 2018 Nottet released the single "On Fire". His second studio album, Sillygomania , was announced for March 20, 2020, but has been postponed to May 29, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic . For the same reason the Sillygomania tour had to be postponed. It will take place in April 2021 and will stop in various concert halls in Belgium, France and Switzerland.
