Eliot Vassamillet (born December 29, 2000 in Mons ) is a Belgian singer . He appears as a singer under his first name Eliot .

life and career

Born in Mons in 2000, Eliot first came to prominence in 2018 when he participated in the seventh season of The Voice Belgique .

On January 15, 2019, RTBF introduced high school student Eliot as the Belgian representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv , Israel . His song Wake Up and the accompanying music video were released on February 28, 2019. The song was written by Pierre Dumoulin, who was already involved in the composition of the song City Lights , with which the singer Blanche reached fourth place for Belgium in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 . After participating in the first semifinals, however, he was unable to qualify for the final of the competition.
