Lize brand
Lize Marke (born December 1, 1936 , actually Liliane Couck ) is a Belgian singer .
biography
Brand began her musical career in 1962. The following year she took part in the Belgian preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest with the two songs Saksisch porselein and Luister naar de wind , which was organized by the Flemish TV station BRT under the title Canzonissima . Saksisch porselein reached fourth place, while Luister naar de wind came second with 289 points. The singer was only three points behind the winner Jacques Raymond . The title was also a small hit in Belgium. In 1965 she was selected internally by the broadcaster to represent Belgium in the competition. In a preliminary decision she presented six titles, among which the ballad Als het weer lente is emerged as the clear winner. At the Eurovision Song Contest in Naples in 1965 she was unsuccessful: with zero points she came in last place together with the representatives from Spain , Germany and Finland . Despite the poor placement, she successfully took part in singing competitions in Switzerland , Bulgaria , Romania and Canada over the following years . In 1965, the singer also got her own television program in Belgium with the Lize-Marke show . From the mid-1970s she made less of a talk, but she has regularly performed live to this day. During her career, the singer released many records. In addition to her own titles, she is best known for Dutch cover versions of international hits.
