Serge & Christine Ghisoland (both * 1946) are a Belgian pop duo .

Career

In 1970, the previously unknown couple took part in the Belgian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest , which was organized by the Walloon TV broadcaster RTB under the title Chansons euro '70 . With their two titles Lai lai lai and Nous serons toi et moi they qualified for the final in the two semi-finals, but withdrew the second title to increase the chances of a win. In the final they reached fourth and last place.

In 1972 they were selected internally by the broadcaster to represent Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest. In a pre-selection under the title Eurovision de la chanson , they presented ten titles, of which À la folie ou pas du tout was determined as the winner by postcard and telephone voting . At the Eurovision Song Contest in Edinburgh in 1972 they were out of luck: They finished 17th and penultimate place. The song was released as a single with the second-placed preliminary title Femme as a b-side, but was not a great commercial success. No further publications followed. Serge Ghisoland later worked for the Elvers record label for many years , including with Crazy Horse and Alain Delorme.
