Dennis Laubenthal (born April 6, 1981 in Koblenz ) is a German theater, film and television actor based in Cologne.

biography

Laubenthal studied theater and media studies for several semesters at the Ruhr University in Bochum before completing his acting studies at the Westphalian Drama School in Bochum (now Folkwang UdK ) from 2003-2006 .

He worked as a freelancer in the Ruhr area and in Berlin. a. to the Deutsches Theater in Berlin , the Theater Münster , the Schauspielhaus Bochum , the Wuppertaler Bühnen , the Staatstheater Braunschweig , the Bonn Opera , the Bad Vilbel Castle Festival and the Alte Schauspielhaus Stuttgart , where he received the Young Talent Award of the Circle of Friends.

Laubenthal has been working freelance from Cologne since 2015.

His roles include a. Karl Moor (Schiller: Die Räuber ), Platonow ( Platonow (Chekhov) ), Odysseus ( Heiner Müller : Philoctet ) and Perchik ( Anatevka - Fiddler on the Roof). He worked with directors such as Christian Brey , Stefan Otteni , Max Claessen, Frank Behnke , Karl Absenger, Martina Eitner-Acheampong , Bernadette Sonnenbichler and Christian von Treskow .

He is also in front of the camera (e.g. for Wilsberg , Heldt and Alarm for Cobra 11 ) and works as a spokesman for WDR. Together with the Münster Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Fabrizio Ventura, Laubenthal gave the title role in Robert Schumann's Manfred . A CD recording of the work has been released by ARS Produktion.
