Sennek (2018)

Laura Groeseneken (also known as Sennek ; born April 30, 1990 in Leuven ) is a Belgian singer , composer and musician . She represented Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with the song A Matter Of Time .

Career

Sennek was part of the James Bond 50th birthday concert . Together with Ozark Henry she took part in several Belgian music festivals . Sennek is not only a singer, she also plays melodica and piano . She also wrote the song Gravity for the band Hooverphonic together with Alex Callier . Although she is currently still working full-time at IKEA and part-time as a vocal coach, she is preparing for a solo career.

On September 28, 2017, she was internally selected as the first participant in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 . Her track A Matter Of Time was released on March 4, 2018. She could not qualify for the final of the competition after taking part in the first semifinals.
