Christer Björkman (born August 25, 1957 in Borås ) is a Swedish singer and television producer .

Life

Björkman was a hairdresser and had his own salon in his hometown Borås. He started singing in the mid-1980s. As the winner of the Melodifestivalen in 1992, he was allowed to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest 1992 in Malmö for his home country. With the title I morgon är en annan dag he only came second to last. This also meant Sweden's worst result since 1977 .

In 1999 he again took part in the preliminary round, but could not win.

Since 2002 he has been the producer of the Melodifestivalen. He is also Sweden's head of delegation at the Eurovision Song Contest. In this role he has won the competition twice so far.

He was the producer of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 and Eurovision Song Contest 2016 .
