Jan Johansen (2020)

Jan Christian Johansen (born January 9, 1966 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish singer . He is the son of jazz musician Egil Johansen .

Life

Jan Johansen's career began in the band Magnum Bonum. There he replaced their singer Lars Listrom, who died of cancer in 1983. He then became the lead singer of the cover band Off Duty.

As the winner of the Melodifestival 1995 he was allowed to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 1995 in Dublin . With his ballad Se på mig ( Swedish for look at me ) he came third. The title went straight to number 1 in the Swedish charts . From 2001 to 2003 he repeatedly took part in the Melodifestivalen, but then could not win any more.

Together with Colette van Luik, he published his biography Med nya ögon (With different eyes) in 2013 .

In February 2020 he took part in the Melodifestivalen again with the Miraklernas tid written by Thomas G: son , but only reached seventh and last place in the second semi-final.
