Benjamin Daniele Wahlgren Ingrosso (born September 14, 1997 in Danderyd ) is a Swedish singer and stage actor . He represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with the song Dance You Off in Lisbon after winning the final of the 2018 Melodi Festival on March 10, 2018.

Ingrosso's aunt is Charlotte Perrelli , a two-time representative of Sweden and winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 1999 .

life and career

At the age of nine, Ingrosso represented his country at MGP Nordic 2006 with the song Hej Sofia . Between 2008 and 2011 he was seen in several musical productions. Ingrosso took part in the Swedish version of Let's Dance in 2014 and won the show alongside his professional dancer Sigrid Bernson . The following year he released the single Fall in Love , which was able to place in the Swedish charts.

In February 2017 Ingrosso took part in the Swedish preliminary round of Melodifestivalen 2017 with the song Good Lovin ' . He was elected straight to the final after winning the second semifinals. In the final, he reached fifth place. The single reached number ten and gold status in the Swedish charts. In the same year he released the singles Do You Think About Me and One More Time.

Appearance at Melodifestivalen 2018

In 2018 Ingrosso again took part in the Swedish preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest . With his song Dance You Off he prevailed against his competitors in the first semi-final of the Melodifestivalen 2018 on February 3, 2018 in Karlstad and qualified directly for the final on March 10 in the Friends Arena in Stockholm . Here he received the majority of points from the international jury as well as the audience and thus represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon . In the second semi-final he reached the final, where he finally finished seventh.
