Monica Kristina Ingeborg Törnell (born June 3, 1954 in Trönö , Hälsingland ) is a Swedish pop rock singer.

She was discovered by Cornelis Vreeswijk in 1971 while singing at a restaurant opening. Her debut album Ingica was still folk-heavy , her later albums became more rocky. Together with the pop composer Lasse Holm , she won the Melodifestivalen in 1986 and was therefore allowed to compete with him in the 1986 Eurovision Song Contest . With the rock hit E 'de' det här du kallar kärlek? the duo reached fifth place.
