Bjorn Skifs
Björn Skifs (born April 20, 1947 in Vansbro ) is a Swedish singer and actor .
Career
In the 1960s he became known in Sweden as the singer of his beat band Slam Creepers . After their separation he founded Blue Swede . Their most successful single, Hooked on a Feeling (originally by BJ Thomas ), was number 1 in the US charts in 1974 . Skifs left the band in 1976 to start a solo career. He took part twice in the Eurovision Song Contest : at the 1978 competition in Paris he came in 14th with Det blir alltid värre framåt natten , and in the 1981 competition he came tenth with Fångad i en dröm . In 1984 he was heard as The Arbiter on the original album of the musical Chess .
Especially in the 1980-90s, Skif had leading roles in Swedish musicals, comedy films and some television films. A hit in Sweden was the 1988 comedy film Strul, where he acted a gangster.
Skifs sang the song When You Tell the World You're Mine with singer Agnes at the wedding of Victoria and Daniel of Sweden on June 19, 2010 in Stockholm . This track soon became number 1 in the Swedish charts .
