Martin Stenmarck

Martin Olof Jon Stenmarck (born October 3, 1972 in Täby ) is a Swedish musician.

Career

He grew up with eleven siblings in Örebro and played in various hard rock bands as a teenager . He later moved to Stockholm , modeled for a while and worked as a singing waiter in the Wallmans Salonger restaurant for a few years . This is where his career began. 1997 quit his work in the restaurant and moved with his show Showduellen and Håkan Berg, Micke Svahn and Joacim Fagerström through Sweden together. Among other things, they performed in various locations around the country in 1997/98, later only occasionally at fixed venues, for example in Stockholm's Mosebacke in 1998 , at Sommarnöje Örebro in 1999, at Julshower på Teatrix in 1999 and at Gröna Lunds-teatern in spring 2000.

In 2005 Stenmarck took part in the Swedish preliminary round for the Eurovision Song Contest in the third preliminary round in Skellefteå , made it to the finals in Stockholm and won it. On May 21, 2005, he represented Sweden at the ESC in Kiev and took 19th place out of 24 participants with his contribution in Las Vegas . He then toured Sweden with his program Tältprojekt . In September 2006 he released his first single in Swedish, 7milakliv, which was number 1 on the Swedish charts for a total of seven weeks. In October 2006 he released his first own album, which only contained Swedish songs. The CD Det är det pojkar gör när kärleken dör was released on November 7th 2007 and shows that his musical style has changed. Martin's lyrics show that he thinks about what to sing. He “lives” the music and is very well known in Sweden. There he is not only a singer, but has also made music videos for films and can be seen in shows, numerous different TV programs and at galas.
