Variety show easy

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Varieté Leicht was a cabaret in the Wiener Wurstelprater .

Renowned German-speaking artists have appeared in the restoration for decades, from singers such as Paul O'Montis to actors such as Alexander Moissi , Werner Krauss , Hans Moser , Paula Wessely or Paul Morgan to the footballer and singer Karl Sesta .

history

The Leicht brothers took over the vaudeville in 1895. Like almost the entire Wurstelprater, the building burned down in 1945, but that did not mean the end of the vaudeville. In 1946, after the death of Wilhelm Leicht - Ferdinand Leicht had died in 1922 - the folk singer Carl Haslinger took over the conference in the vaudeville that later became the Neue Pratervarieté .

Aftermath

Since 1963 the Leichtweg in the Volksprater has been named after the Varieté and the eponymous family - Ferdinand Leicht senior and junior and Wilhelm Leicht. Posters of the variety show from 1946 and 1947 are in the Vienna Library in the City Hall .
