Vasile Gain (born January 5, 1912 in Temeskenéz , Austria-Hungary , † unknown) was a Romanian football player . He played a total of 110 games in the first Romanian football league, the Divizia A . In 1939 the midfielder won the Romanian championship with Venus Bucharest .

Career

Gain's career began at Politehnica Timișoara , where he joined the first team squad in 1930. The team played in the regional championship and missed qualifying for the national finals. In 1931 he joined local rivals Banatul Timișoara . When the professional league Divizia A was founded in 1932 , he moved to Universitatea Cluj . With his new club he reached the final of the championship in 1933 , but was subject to Ripensia Timișoara . In the following seasons, the team could not build on this success. The 1935/36 season ended in the last place in the table and the class stay in the relegation games against ILSA Timișoara .

In 1937 Gain left "U Cluj" and joined the reigning master Venus Bucharest . After having missed participation in the championship finals in the 1937/38 season , Gain was able to win his first title with the championship in 1939 . He then left the club for the lower class Olympia Bucharest . After the end of the Second World War he ran for BNR Bucharest for a few years .

National team

Gain played two games for the Romanian national team . He made his debut on October 16, 1932 in a game against the Austrian amateur national team , which was won 1-0. It was then not taken into account for almost six years. It was not until September 25, 1938 that he made his second and last assignment against Germany .
