Vassøykalven is an island in the Byfjord in the Norwegian province of Rogaland .
The uninhabited island belongs to the city of Stavanger and is located southeast of the much larger and also inhabited island of Vassøy . To the east, separated by Lindøysundet , is the island of Lindøy . The ship route from Stavanger to Tau runs through Lindøysundet . Vassøykalven extends from north to south over 370 meters with a width of up to 170 meters. It reaches a height of up to about 24 meters. The rocky island is partly overgrown with bushes and trees.
