Vedran is a male given name , which has its origin in the South Slavic languages and is mainly common among Croatians , but can also be found among Bosniaks and Serbs . From the root word vedar (German: bright, friendly, clear) it means "the friendly" or "the bright".
The feminine form is Vedrana .
