The Veitch Point is a headland in the center of the north-eastern end of Monroe Iceland in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations mapped it on the Discovery II in 1933 . They named it after Robert Samuel Veitch (1908–1994), technician for the plumb bob on board the ship.
