The Ventouxman is a triathlon sport event over the middle distance on Lac Piolenc in France . The venue is Lapalud in the Vaucluse department . The competition has been held annually in September since 2015.

The organizers offer a middle distance and various children's triathlons on a weekend in September. About 1000 participants take part in the competition. Both course records in the middle distance are from 2019. For the men, it is Frenchman William Mennesson in 5:02:40 hours. For women, it is Australian Carrie Lester with 5:37:31 hours.

Route

  • The swimming distance is over 2000 meters in Lac Piolenc. Two laps of 1000 meters each with a shore leave for the spectators will be swum.
  • The bike distance of 90 kilometers leads to Mont Ventoux from Bédoin and has an altitude of 2200 meters.
  • The 20-kilometer run is completed four times in a 5-kilometer lap. It is a trail course around the Mont Serein area with an altitude of 460 meters.
