The men's saber fencing competition at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro took place on August 10, 2016 in the Arena Carioca 3 . The Hungarian Áron Szilágyi became Olympic champion for the second time in a row. Silver went to Daryl Homer (USA) ahead of Kim Jung-hwan from South Korea, who won the bronze medal.
