Daryl Homer (born July 16, 1990 in Saint Thomas , US Virgin Islands ) is an American saber fencer .

successes

Daryl Homer won numerous titles and medals at the Pan American Championships. In 2011 he was the first time Pan American champion in both individual and team competitions in Reno . In 2012 in Cancún , 2013 in Cartagena and 2014 in San José , he successfully defended the team title. In 2013 and 2014 he also won bronze medals in the individual. At world championships he won in 2015 in Moscow in the individual silver and was runner-up. He has been in the US squad at the Olympic Games twice . In 2012 , he finished sixth in the singles in London after he was eliminated in the quarterfinals against Rareş Dumitrescu . With the team he was eighth after an opening defeat against Russia . At the games in Rio de Janeiro , Homer moved into the finals in the singles. There he met Áron Szilágyi , who he lost with 8:15.

Homer has a marketing degree from St. John's University for which he also participated in the college sport of fencing.
