Verawaty Wiharjo

Verawaty Wiharjo (born October 1, 1957 in Jakarta , later Verawaty Fajrin ) is a former Indonesian badminton player .

Career

Verawaty Wiharjo was one of the most successful badminton players of the 1980s. Her first success was winning the Denmark Open in the 1977/1978 season together with Imelda Wiguna in women's doubles. In 1978 both won the Asian Games . After winning the Canada Open in 1979 and All England in 1979 and 1980 (all in women's doubles with Imelda Wiguna), she won the women's singles world title in 1980.
