Association of Swiss Sewage and Water Protection Experts

The Association of Swiss Wastewater and Water Protection Experts ( VSA ) is a Swiss professional association based in Glattbrugg . It was founded in 1944.

At the technical level, the association is divided into competence centers for the topics of water , wastewater treatment , industry and commerce, sewerage and urban drainage and offers training and further education, develops knowledge and guidelines on all aspects of water protection and wants to sensitize the population and politics to its concerns.

The VSA is responsible for the Swiss standard SN 592000 property drainage . Together with the Federal Institute for Water Supply, Wastewater Treatment and Water Protection ( Eawag ) and the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN), the data structure for urban drainage VSA-DSS was developed using INTERLIS , which has also been implementing the SIA 405 "Wastewater" standard since 2005 .
