The Swiss Association for Standardization (abbreviated SNV , French Association Suisse de normalization , English Swiss Association for Standardization) is the national standards body of the Switzerland based in Winterthur .

She is responsible for the Swiss standards ; Standards issued by the SNV are marked with the abbreviation SN.

The SNV is a full member of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the European Committee for Standardization (CEN). In this way, the SNV ensures international cooperation in standardization .

This institution is the Swiss equivalent of the Austrian Austrian Standards International (ASI), formerly the Austrian Standardization Institute , which publishes the ÖNORMs ; it is also comparable to the German Institute for Standardization (DIN).

As of 2019, over 680 companies and institutions are members of the SNV, and of the almost 16,800 SNV standards, more than 15,000 were national adoptions of European standards (EN).
