Association of film, television and theater agencies

The Association of Agencies for Film, Television and Theater (VdA) is a legal association based in Berlin and an association of agencies that represent artists and authors in the film, television and theater industries in German-speaking countries.

The association was founded in 1998 by 16 agencies in Berlin and currently comprises 61 agencies (as of January 1, 2016), which represent over 2,600 artists and authors. The VdA also sees itself as a professional interest group and aims to secure and increase the quality of the work of the member agencies. The VdA is listed under the serial number 1706 in the public list of the registration of associations and their representatives kept by the President of the German Bundestag .

The association is one of several associations in Germany for acting agencies. There is also the Association of German Actor Agencies and the Association of German Young Talent Agencies (VdNA). Since 2012 the VdA has been an extraordinary member of the umbrella organization of the film industry . V. (SPIO).

In May 2018, the association took part in the establishment of the Themis trust center against sexual harassment and violence .
