Thran Lam Vong is a young Vietnamese who illegally in Warsaw lives. He makes a living from black market trading. With the money he earned, he also enables his beloved friend Mai Anh to enter the country illegally. She and other Vietnamese are dragged into the country across the green border between Poland and Ukraine . On the Polish side, the group is driven towards Warsaw in a van. Before this trip, Mai Anh is raped by the driver Mirek . Eventually the group is abandoned in a forest and Mai Anh sets off alone for the unknown city. At that time, her boyfriend Vong was arrested after a raid . He cannot identify himself and uses a fake name. Mai Anh can stop a car. The young couple Monika and Darek takes them with them to Warsaw. Monika lets Mai Anh call Vong, who can inform her that he is imprisoned. Mai Anh was arrested in Warsaw and found Vong in custody. However, when she tells him that she asked for him by his real name, he turns away from her. An elderly Vietnamese woman explains: The illegal immigrants can only live in Poland under false names without papers, as they cannot then be expelled .
