Association of the professional groups of production design and costume design

The Association of Professional Groups Production Design and Costume Design (VSK), based in Munich , founded in 1983 as SFK , represents the interests of the film professions of production and costume designers in Germany. In August 2013 it was renamed VSK Association of Professional Groups Scenography and Costume Design e. V. He advocates recognition of your copyrights to film works. In the opening and closing credits of a film, the abbreviation “VSK” (formerly “SFK”) after the name indicates membership (e.g. “Costume: Gudrun Schretzmeier VSK”).

Bild-Kunst-Förderpreis

The association awards the Bild-Kunst-Förderpreis in the categories “Best Costume Design” and “Best Production Design”. This prize has been donated since 1997 by the Association of Production Designers, Film Architects and Costume Designers SFK and until 2006 by the FFS course for film and television scenography at the University of Television and Film Munich . The award consisted of a bronze sculpture. In 2007 it was not awarded.

Since 2010, the award has been organized by the Association of Set Designers, Film Architects and Costume Designers and the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy and funded by the Kulturwerk Foundation of the Bild-Kunst collecting society .
