The Association of Scholarship Holders and Alumni of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (VSA) eV is the official alumni association of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF).
History and tasks
The association was founded in 1987 and has around 2000 members. The VSA is independent and non-profit. It is open to all FNF students and alumni . A private or institutional sponsoring membership is possible. The association is based in Berlin . The VSA is divided into specialist groups and regional groups.
Johannes Berger has been the spokesman for the board since 2018.
The VSA supports its members on their career path, arranges contacts in business, science, politics and culture and offers a network for professional and private maintenance of contacts. The VSA supports relationships between junior and managerial staff and potential employers.
The VSA organizes meetings of its members at home and abroad, coordinates publications of the members in its member magazine freiraum and on the Internet, establishes contacts beyond the circle of the association in order to make the Friedrich Naumann Foundation known for freedom and interest in it to wake up. He conducts political and scientific seminars to strengthen civic awareness and engagement. The purpose of the scientific seminars is the exchange of new scientific approaches and work. The VSA announces a prize, with which a diploma thesis and a dissertation are awarded. It also awards grants and other support services.
