Scorched Earth , not to be confused with the darkwave band of the same name from Nuremberg , was a dark punk band from Gera .
history
The band was founded in 1995 and emerged from the German punk combo Deutschlands Erben, where the later band members Ingo Lorbert, Andreas Ettler and Michael Seiler were already active. In 1996, with the addition of drummer Jens “Jeans” Halbauer, the first tape, Sad but true, was released in-house, followed by the EP Burnt Earth a year later. In 1998 the album Chrrr! released the album Elefanteneimer in 2001 on Matatu Records. In 2004 Matatu Records also released the successor photo album . Major Label released the album IV in 2012 . In 2017 the split album Berga by Night II was released on Major Label.
Drummer Jens Halbauer has also been active in Fliehende Stürme since 2009 and a drummer in Die Art since October 2017 . Together with Michael Seiler, he has also worked on Interstate 5 , Oi! Tanking and The Very Job Agency . Halbauer currently also runs the synth-pop duo The Past Made Us One .
