Association of leading hospital doctors in Switzerland
The Association of Senior Hospital Doctors in Switzerland ( VLSS ) represents the interests of chief physicians and senior physicians ( senior physicians ) in Switzerland , with its headquarters in Bern . Currently (2017/18) there are around 1200 executive doctors working in Switzerland.
The activities of the VLSS include, in particular in the field of hospitals :
- Processing of health policy issues
- Statements on draft laws and ordinances in the consultation process
- Representation of interests in:
- Health Policy Working Group of the Swiss Trade Association
- regular meetings with the Swiss Health Directors' Conference (GDK)
- towards H + Die Hospitals der Schweiz.
Since 2006, the VLSS has been the basic organization of the Medical Association, Association of Swiss Doctors (FMH), where it represents the interests of its members in the central board, in the delegates' assembly and other bodies of the FMH. The VLSS is also involved in the further education and training regulations of the FMH.
In addition, VLLS would like to guarantee high-quality medical care in the hospitals and contribute to quality assurance, as well as promote the professional development of the leading hospital doctors and continuously improve their economic and social conditions.
The association also offers occupational pensions through its VLSS pension foundation, which was established in 1996 (“VLSS management pension scheme”, Valitas AG). In addition, legal advice that is also open to non-members.
VLSS publishes in the Swiss medical newspaper .
