Verena Olejniczak praise

Verena Olejniczak Lobsien (nee Olejniczak ; * 1957 ) is a German English studies professor and professor of modern English literature at the Humboldt University in Berlin .

Life

After studying at the University of Hanover and the University of East Anglia (Norwich) was 1984 in Hannover with a thesis on TS Eliot and Virginia Woolf doctorate . Her post- doctoral thesis , published in 1994, is dedicated to the English writer Ivy Compton-Burnett . From 1995 to 1999 she was a professor for English literature at the University of Tübingen ; In 1999 she was appointed professor for modern English literature at the Humboldt University in Berlin . Her research focus today is on English literature of the early modern period. Olejniczak Lobsien is a member of the editorial board of the journal Anglia , the Shakespeare-Jahrbuch and the Zeitschrift für Ästhetik und Allgemeine Kunstwissenschaft .
