The Verenakapelle (also Santa Verena Chapel ) is a foundation chapel on the Emser Maiensässen near Domat / Ems . It was built in 1932 and is dedicated to St. Verena .

The outside of the church is unstructured and brightly plastered. The entrance door on the main facade is protected by a pent roof . Metal panels are attached to the left and right. They bear the inscriptions:

"The founder Miss Verena Haas asks for an Our Father"
“Chapel of Sta. Verena - consecrated to Christ the King "

On the north side of the church a stone staircase leads down to the chalet. The sacristy has a cellar and its own entrance. The steep pitched roof is covered with sheet copper plates and above the choir hipped . Between chancel and nave stands on the pitched roof of a square, shod with sheet metal roof turret with rectangular sound holes. It is crowned with an onion-shaped sheet metal hood and a cross. In it hangs the hand-drawn bell (ø 53 cm, clay g; weight 95 kg with the inscription Sancta Verena pro nobis ; year 1932, bell foundry: H. Rüetschi AG Aarau).

The chapel belongs to the Bergkirchlein Sta. Verena and the Episcopal Ordinariate of the Diocese of Chur . Holy Mass is celebrated there every Sunday from mid-June to mid-September.
