information There is a gold edition.

In the computer game The Transport Giant, the player slips into the role of a private or public transport company. The aim of the game is to build a functioning and profitable transport network with the help of buses, trams, suburban trains, suspension trains and maglev trains. To do this, he has to buy vehicles, build stops and lay rails. Then the individual lines have to be defined. This game was developed and distributed by JoWooD . A gold edition was later released with additional maps and missions. Contrary to previous announcements, no successor version of JoWooD was released. Cities in Motion , developed by Colossal Order, is considered to be the successor .

technology

The traffic giant uses an isometric view of the city as a graphic, which can neither be rotated nor tilted. However, the buildings can be hidden. The graphics are very detailed, and the paths of the lines are precisely defined.

Map editor

The game also has a map editor, but it is not easy to use. Originally it was not planned to publish it, but this was finally done at the insistence of the fans.

There are many completed maps. Vehicles cannot be created, the given ones have to be used. On the other hand, it is possible to create new buildings.
