Sue me! is a litigation pseudo-docu-soap from the TV station VOX .

content

A single dispute is dealt with in each episode of the show. These are alleged everyday situations such as disputes in the neighborhood or at the workplace, which usually result in criminal and / or civil law consequences.

In the opening credits, the initial situation, the people involved and the main topic are briefly presented. This is followed by a detailed description of the dispute as well as various developments and subplots, some of which can be thematically different from the actual problem. As a rule, the individual episodes proceed according to the scheme that the protagonist gets involved in various problems and must first accept unjustified (legal) disadvantages before the situation slowly turns positive for the protagonist and the actual responsible parties can be convicted. In the end credits, the legal consequences for everyone involved are described.

Important events and actions are commented on by one of the lawyers Karsten Dusse , Matthias Klagge or Funda Bıçakoğlu from a legal point of view.

concept

Analogous to other scripted reality formats, they are also suing me! The cases shown are all fictional and the characters are fictitious, with the latter also being displayed in a text at the end of each episode. The actions are played according to a precise script by amateur actors . Allowing slips of the tongue, speaking pauses or confusion should give the viewer the impression that it is a normal docu-soap. Only the lawyers mentioned above are real people and actual lawyers.

Production and broadcast

The program was first broadcast on November 28, 2011 by the German private broadcaster VOX. The production of the show was stopped in 2013; The pre-produced episodes were broadcast until mid-2014. Since July 2014, only repeats have been broadcast in the afternoon program and from the beginning of 2015 in the morning program.

Offshoot

In 2012 VOX started the series Help me! as an offshoot.
