Vernon Carrington
Vernon Carrington (born November 1, 1936 - March 22, 2005 ) founded the Twelve Tribes of Israel in 1968 , a branch of the Rastafarian movement, which should not be confused with the Christian denomination of the same name . He was also known as the Prophet Gad .
The members of the Twelve Tribes see Carrington as a prophet who began to repatriate the Rastafarians to their native Africa .
As an essential motto was handed down by him: "Read your Bible one chapter per day from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22 and find the truth for yourself".
