The Regulation (EC) no. 1071/2009 defines the conditions for transport companies . In addition, the required properties of a traffic manager are explained, the safety requirements for evidence are specified and the areas in which the member states are free to implement the regulation are shown.

Repeal

The regulation repeals Directive 96/26 / EC.

Chapter 1 contains general provisions. In this the characteristics for transport companies, which must be given, are specified. These must be permanently established in the member state and have the characteristics of reliability , financial capacity and professional suitability. In the 2nd chapter the prerequisites for fulfilling the requirements of Article 3 are specified. Chapter 3 contains all the rules on the subject of approval and monitoring by the authorities and Chapter 5 regulates the mutual recognition of certificates and documents. Chapter 6 lists the final provisions.

The ordinance was implemented through the Passenger Transport Act and the Occupational Access Ordinance for Road Passenger Transport (PBZugV) and is monitored by the transport authorities.
