Shipping unit

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A shipping unit , also known as a “ colli ” in logistical terms, represents the general term for goods that are to be shipped.

The term shipping unit as such is a generalized term to distinguish it from the shipping items . A shipping unit is the material which from a sender to a receiver with a set of accompanying papers is shipped. From this it can be seen that the shipping unit, in contrast to the shipping item, can consist of several items.
