Interconnection

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The term interconnection (also wiring ) comes from circuit technology and describes the wiring between individual electrical components .

This descriptive term was adopted to explain the brain and describes the connections between nerve cells or areas of the brain . In this context, one also speaks of connectivity . See also artificial neural network and connectome .

Electrical engineering

In the field of electrical engineering , individual electromechanical , electrical or electronic components are connected to one another. This can be done for example by lines or cables . Furthermore, the connection of electronic components on a circuit board can be made by copper tracks, the connections between the components and the circuit board being made by soldering points .
